Carolyn A. Parker, age 76 years, lifetime area resident of Greene County, passed away early in the morning on Monday November 16, 2020 at home in the comfort of her home surrounded by her loved ones.

Carolyn was born on August 22, 1944 in Catskill, N.Y. and is the daughter of the late Harriette (Mikey) Greene.

Carolyn battled and won the fight against breast cancer. Carolyn was a very crafty decorator. She enjoyed long back road country drives, yard sales, and shopping at the different Dollar Tree stores.

Carolyn was a homemaker. She took pride in her duties as a wife, mother and grandmother. Carolyn always prepared amazing home cooked meals followed by delicious desserts She always made sure that everyone had a full belly. Carolyn appreciated the beauty of nature and had a passion for wildlife. She especially enjoyed all of the different species of birds, and she was excellent at attracting and feeding the birds very well.

Most of all she loved getting visitors and spending time with her close friends and family.

Besides her mother, she is predeceased by her son Richard (Terry) Carney, her grandmother Bertha Greene (Pete).

Survivors include her husband Lynford Parker, Sr., son Lynford Parker, Jr. (Jayme), daughter Kathy (Tony), granddaughter Brandi Carney (Keith), great granddaughter Kelsi Abbott, sister Mary Whitaker (Kevin,) and her brother Billy Greene (Rose). She is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces , nephews, and friends that were considered family.

Contributions in Carolyn’s memory may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
