Benjamin A. Scrodin

Benjamin A. Scrodin, 93, of Germantown passed away Tuesday September 15, 2020 in the comfort of his home. Born October 31, 1926 in Hudson, he is the son of Paul and Margaret (Morgan) Scrodin.

Benjamin owned and operated the family fruit farm Scrodin Bros. in Livingston for many years, and retired from the Red Hook Central School District Maintenance Department. Ben was also a member of the Hudson Elks Lodge -787, American Legion, VFW, and was a Life Member of Livingston Fire Company.

Left to cherish Benjamin’s memory are his wife Phyllis (Plant) Scrodin, step children Linda (Bob) Fix, Walter (Debbie) Reynolds, and Craig (Phyllis) Reynolds, several grandchildren, a great grandson Cameron, and sisters Genevieve Van Tine and Bernadette Orr, along with many nieces and nephews. Ben was predeceased by his siblings Paul Scrodin, Sister Margaret Paul Scrodin, CSJ, Mary Ann Scrodin, and Eva Helen Egan.

Funeral services will be Tuesday September 22, at 11:00am from the Bates & Anderson-Redmond & Keeler Funeral Home. A calling hour from 10:00-11:00am will precede funeral services. Interment will be in Holy Trinity Nativity Parish Cemetery in Linlithgo.
