Audrey Catherine DeCiel “Nana”, age 71 years, loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend, and longtime area resident of Cairo, New York, passed away peacefully at her home with her family by her side on June 10, 2021.

Audrey was born on October 21, 1949, in Yonkers, New York, and is the daughter of the late Michael and Mary Scrobola.

Survivors include her loving husband Warren DeCiel, her sons Michael DeCiel and his wife Nancy, Christopher DeCiel and his wife Colleen, her beloved grandchildren Hannah DeCiel and Christpoher DeCiel Jr., whom she adored with all of her heart. She also leaves behind many friends in the Cairo area.

Audrey loved her family dearly, was devoted to her faith and she also loved gardening.

During Audrey’s lifetime, she was employed as a server at local businesses such as Hartmann’s Kaffeehouse and Bakery in Round Top, New York, and also at Miake’s Diner, in Cairo, New York, and will be fondly remembered at these locations for her kindness and pleasant smile. Audrey was a parishioner of The Sacred Heart Church in Cairo, New York.

Audrey was an advocate in the installation of the special swing that is now at The Angelo Canna Cairo Town Park, in Cairo, New York, that is for those with Autism. She so wished and wanted this swing there for the safety and the pleasure for those in need.

Respectively, Audrey’s services will be private, for her immediate family only.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Richards Funeral Home, 29 Bross Street, Cairo, New York, 12413.
