Anne A. Chambers

Anne A. Chambers 100, of Philmont, died peacefully at home on Thursday March 23, 2023 surrounded by her family. Born in Manhattan on January 20, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Theresa (Gigilia)Alauria. She was pre-deceased by her step-father Emelio Valerino and her husband Bernard F Chambers and her son Robert D. Chambers. In September of 1941 Anne married the love of her life Bernard (Bud) Chambers. Together they raised five children. Anne is survived by her sons Thomas J. Chambers, Paul B. (Joan) Chambers, daughters: Frances Skelley, Amelia T. Goerlitz, and her grandchildren: Micheal, Scott (Donna), Shawn (Amanda) Skelley, Richard (James) Almond-Goerlitz, Elizabeth (David) Coryer, Timothy, Marie and Matthew Chambers, Christopher (Eric Chow) Chambers, Lauren Otto (Michael) Paglione, Kayla (Michael) Orecki and Nichole Chambers. She is also survived by 16 great grandchildren, several great great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

She was also pre-deceased by her brother Archie Alauria, sisters: Josephine Stahowski, Tina Dolci, and sons-in-law John Skelley and Richard Goerlitz.

Calling hours are Sunday March 26, 2023 from 4-7PM at the Sacco Funeral Home 700 Town Hall Drive Hudson. Funeral services will be 10:00AM Monday March 27, at the funeral home with Fr. Winston Bath officiating. Burial will follow in Mellenville Union Cemetery. The family is gathering at the Hillsdale Fire House, 9387 Rt. 22, Hillsdale, immediately following the internment.

The family would like to express their thanks to her wonderful friends who cared for her and became family: Netta, MaryLisa, Sue, Danielle Tina, Jen, Katrina, Erin and Heather.

They also thank Community Hospice (Alicia), Landmark Health, and Consumer Directed Choices.

A very special thank you to Nikki whose unconditional love and devotion helped to brightened my mom’s life.
