CATSKILL — Blues-rock band Wyld Blu will open the 2020 Music in the Park season on a new stage at Dutchman’s Landing on Thursday, The Heart of Catskill Association said Wednesday.
All concerts in the abbreviated six-week season are free and open to the public.
There will be a ribbon-cutting before the band starts to play, since Thursday will be the first Music in the Park concert on the new stage that was sponsored by HOCA this year.
Several years ago, HOCA “adopted” Dutchman’s Landing and has provided new lighting as well as picnic tables and benches.
Concertgoers are asked to respect safety precautions by wearing masks or face coverings and to situate themselves 6 feet away from each other.
Only people who arrive together should sit at the picnic tables.
HOCA delayed opening the event due to government regulations to contain the spread of the COVID-19 virus.
Due to concerns about personal contact, the popular 50/50 drawings will not be held this year. All concerts will begin at 7 p.m. The bands will play through until about 8:15 to 8:30 p.m. since there will be no 50/50.
The Music in the Park schedule is as follows:
