GREENPORT — A winning Take 5 lottery ticket for Friday night’s drawing was sold in Hudson, according to a statement from New York Lottery.

The prize-winning ticket, worth $33,655, was purchased at Smoker’s Choice, in the Fairview Plaza, Lottery officials said.

A second winning ticket for last night’s drawing was sold in the Bronx.

The winning numbers were: 6-32-35-36-39.

There’s a good chance the unidentified winner is a local person, Marisol Lopez, an employee at Smoker’s Choice, said Saturday morning.

“Just about everybody that buys their tickets here, live in the area”, Lopez said.

Take 5 numbers are drawn from a field of one through 39. Drawings take place every evening at 11:21 p.m.

Winning tickets at all prize levels may be cashed up to one year from the date of the drawing, New York Lottery officials said.

Take 5 began in 1992 as a Friday-only game. It expanded gradually to nightly drawings beginning in 2001.
