Ronel Cook, former CSD super, dies

YONKERS — Dr. Ronel Cook, who served as the superintendent of the Catskill Central School District from 2017 to 2022, died Sunday in a one-car accident, Westchester County police confirmed Monday. Cook was 51.

Cook resigned June 15 of this year to take the superintendent’s position in the Englewood Public School District in Bergen County, New Jersey, starting in September. He had been on the job only two months at the time of his death.
