CAIRO — A Greene County man was charged with raping a child under 13 years old, according to the sheriff’s office.
Robert A. Craver, 36, of Cairo was arrested Wednesday and charged with first-degree rape, a class B felony, and endangering the welfare of a child, a class A misdemeanor.
The sheriff’s office received a report of alleged sexual abuse of a minor by an adult male, according to the sheriff’s office.
“It is alleged that Craver had sexual intercourse with a subject less than 13 years old,” the sheriff’s office said in a statement.
Craver is being held in the custody of the Greene County Sheriff’s Office pending a future court appearance.
