HUDSON — A 55-year-old Hudson woman was taken to Columbia Memorial Hospital on Saturday morning after she was struck by a car on Warren Street.

A parking enforcement officer reported the accident around 11:25 a.m. on the 500 block of Warren Street, according to the report filed by the police department.

Hudson police reported the woman was found lying in the middle of the street when they arrived on the scene. Police said a Hudson man was attempting to back into a parking space on the east side of Warren Street when he allegedly struck the woman, who was crossing the street behind the car.

The woman had neck and arm pain after falling to the ground and was treated by the Greenport Rescue Squad, according to police. There was no damage to the vehicle and no tickets were issued.

Hudson firefighters assisted with closing the street.
