HUDSON — A man was injured and a woman was arrested on felony charges following a domestic dispute, Hudson Police Chief L. Edward Moore said on Wednesday.
The unidentified man, 36, was stabbed during the incident, Moore said.
Police charged Darlene Scott, 59, of Hudson with second-degree assault, intentionally causing an injury with a weapon, a class D felony, fourth-degree criminal possession and endangering the welfare of a child, both class A misdemeanors, Moore said.
At about 5:30 p.m., Hudson police received a call reporting there was a domestic dispute involving a knife on the 300 Block of State Street. The caller told police that a person had been stabbed, Moore said.
Hudson police and Greenport Rescue Squad arrived to a home at 357 State St. and found a man with a cut to his left thumb. The victim refused medical treatment for his injuries, Moore said.
Police did not disclose the relationship between Scott and the victim.
Hudson police detectives arrested Scott at the house, Moore said. Police recovered the knife that was used at the scene, according to police.
Scott was arraigned Tuesday in Hudson City Court by Judge John Connor and was released on her own recognizance.
She was scheduled to appear in court again Wednesday morning.
Connor also issued an order of protection for the victim.
