STUYVESANT — A person was airlifted with injuries after a one-vehicle crash on Route 9 between New Street and Hudson Avenue on Monday, police said.

State police are investigating the crash, but offered limited information about the incident at this time as the investigation is ongoing.

The person became entrapped in the vehicle after it rolled over on Route 9 at about 9:30 a.m. The section of road between New Street and Hudson Avenue was closed from 9:30 a.m. to shortly after 11 a.m. as police investigated the scene.

A LifeNet helicopter transported one person with injuries to the hospital.

The state police Collision Reconstruction Unit was not called to the scene.

“Due to circumstances surrounding the accident information is limited at this time,” according to a statement on the Stuyvesant Fire Company’s Facebook page.

Stockport Fire, Valatie Rescue, and the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office were also at the scene.
