GALLATIN — One person was taken to MidHudson Regional Hospital in Poughkeepsie on Tuesday afternoon following a one-car accident in Gallatin, Public Information Officer Aaron Hicks of State Police Troop K said Wednesday.

Dylan Bartelin, 20, of Gallatin, did not have life-threatening injuries, Hicks said.

At about 11:49 a.m., Columbia County 911 sent Milan Fire Department and Northern Dutchess Paramedics to 1385 Jackson Corners Road after receiving reports of an accident.

Bartelin was driving a 2008 Nissan west on Jackson Corners Road when the vehicle went off the left side of the road, for unknown reasons, and struck a tree, Hicks said.

Fire officials requested the Livingston Fire Department respond with mutual aid to assist in removing the driver from the car.

Traffic was down to one lane of alternating traffic until the crash was cleared. The car was towed from the scene.

All fire companies were back in service at 12:39 p.m. State police investigated.
