GALLATIN — The occupants of a Kozlowski Road home safely escaped a fast-moving fire that destroyed the residence, fire officials said.

Livingston Fire Company responded to 156 Kozlowski Road after residents of the home reported their house was on fire at about 7:48 a.m. Thursday. The residents were alerted by smoke detectors, fire officials said. The one-story wood frame house was located at the end of a long driveway, about 1/4-mile off Kozlowski Road.
