GHENT — Democratic town councilwomen Patti Matheney and Koethi Zan have resigned from the Ghent Town Board, saying they were cut out of the information loop, removed from most of their committee positions and recently denied invitations as board members to the town’s Memorial Day and Veterans Day ceremonies.

The two former council members listed their accomplishments, multiple allegations and several reasons for stepping down in a three-page letter dated Nov. 17, 2022, to the Ghent Town Democratic Committee.
