Brian Belt is using his art and personal experiences to help others with mental health issues. Belt was diagnosed with Schizophrenia in 2006 and since then has counseled others and created a not-for-profit Mental Health Awareness and Creative Arts Gallery located at 717 Columbia Street in Hudson.
The 57 year old believes that art can be a powerful tool for recovery. Artists and team members of the Mental Health Awareness and Creative Arts Gallery will be showcasing their creative work at Lightforms Art Center at 743 Columbia Street in Hudson on Sept 30th from 5-10pm. Belt will be also speaking about his journey through Schizophrenia.
