TANNERSVILLE — The Mountain Top Arboretum will host a Tick Awareness Workshop webinar at 10 a.m. March 6. Spring is almost here and with warming temperatures, ticks will become more active looking for a meal. People and their pets will be out of doors more trying to free themselves of the long winter in the same areas as these active ticks. This presentation will discuss ticks and the disease they can cause as well as steps we can take to prevent tick bites. This program is in collaboration with Cornell Cooperative Extension of Columbia & Greene Counties. Admission is free. Sign up at www.mtarboretum.org.
