ATHENS — ‘Living on Less’ presented by Theresa Mayhew, Family & Consumer Sciences Resource Educator with Cornell Cooperative Extension of Columbia & Greene Counties, will be held 3-4 p.m. Feb. 20 at the Rivertown Apartments Community Room, 19 Third St., Athens. Want to spend less but still live well? Learning how to do so may require some skill, determination and know-how but it can be done. Mayhew will review how to say no to bad habits so you can stretch your income to cover important needs and wants. Most of the tips and ideas shared will be practical, everyday things you can do to cut expenses and increase or extend your resources. The cost to attend this D.R. Evarts Library sponsored program is free but pre-registration is requested by Feb. 18. To sign up in advance, go to https://reg.cce.cornell.edu/LiveLess_210 or call the library at 518-945-1417.
