PHILMONT — The Philmont Library, 101 Main St., Philmont, will host a Winter Nature Journaling, Art & Nature program with the Columbia Land Conservancy, 3:30-5 p.m. Mondays starting Jan. 13 at the Philmont Library. We’ll spend these hours learning to use all of our senses to observe and learn about nature and turn the natural world into a makerspace. We’ll spend our time exploring natural materials, crafting, and using nature journals to record and engage with the outdoor environment — drawing pictures, taking notes, and recording our observations and questions. This program is intended for children from 4-10 years old. Snacks will be provided and are sponsored by the Philmont Rotary Club. The afterschool program can be capped at 6 weeks, but may be open ended if attendees would like it to continue. For information, call the library at 518-672-5010.
