ANCRAM — The Columbia Land Conservancy and the Alan Devoe Bird Club will be holding a bird walk beginning at 7:30 a.m. May 22 at Overmountain Conservation Area’s Kite Hill parking lot, 138 Catalano Road in Ancram. The walk, which will take place on grassy trails that are primarily flat, will be led by experienced birder Marian Sole. She will take us through a wonderful mix of habitat that will provide opportunities to experience a variety of resident and migratory birds. Space is limited to 10 attendees. Registration, masks, and social distancing are required. There is no sharing of equipment, and there are no bathrooms or other indoor amenities available. Please plan accordingly. Register at clctrust.org/events. A note on directions: Catalano Road may appear as Cattalino, Cattalano, or Catalonus Road in your GPS system, depending on your software.
