COPAKE — The Art School of Columbia County will be holding one-hour art classes aimed at children and teenagers at 4 p.m. March 6, April 3 and May 1 at Roeliff Jansen Community Library, 9091 Route 22, Copake. The theme for the classes is “seeing who you are,” and will focus on creating self-portraits, influenced by artists such as Langston Hughes, Frieda Kahlo, William Carlos Williams, and Louise Nevelson. The March 6 and May 1 classes are for teenagers age 13-19, while the April 3 class is for children 12 and under. The classes will be led by instructors from ASCC.

There is no attendance fee for any of the art classes. Participants can sign up at the library’s front desk. For information on hours and events, call 518-325-4101.
