Satirical songwriter turned math professor Tom Lehrer will be 93 on Friday, April 9, and cabaret performer Byron Nilsson salutes the occasion with a Lehrer-centric program of humorous songs at Saratoga’s Caffè Lena at 8 PM on April 9. Performing with longtime musical director Malcolm Kogut, Nilsson will offer such Lehrer classics as “Poisoning Pigeons in the Park,” “The Masochism Tango,” and “The Vatican Rag,” alongside songs by Cole Porter, Noël Coward, and others. Caffè Lena is now open for reduced-size in-person audiences, so you can enjoy an actual at-a-concert experience; you can also enjoy the livestream version from your very own electronic talking-picture facilitation machine.

Calendar blurb: 8 p.m. Friday, April 9: A 93rd Birthday Tribute to Tom Lehrer at Caffè Lena with Byron Nilsson and Malcolm Kogut.
