THE CHIMES

A GOBLIN STORY OF SOME BELLS THAT RANG

AN OLD YEAR OUT AND A NEW YEAR IN

“And so, as Tiny Tim observed, God bless Us, Every One!”

As we anxiously anticipate the coming of 2021, Bridge Street Theatre is delighted to present a free online reading of one of Charles Dickens’ lesser-known holiday tales. It includes a wedding, an orphan, an evil rich man, a church bell tower, and some frightening goblins. Or was it all a dream because Trotty Veck had too much tripe at dinner?

This week we present its first two chapters (with the final two to follow shortly), read as always in our Bridge Street Bedtime Stories series by BST Associate Artist Steven Patterson.

Get into your dressing gown, nightcap, and slippers, set yourself down in front of the fire, and enjoy!

And a Happy New Year to all!
