MAC-HAYDN RELEASES EPISODE 8 OF IN THE MEANTIME
CHATHAM — The Mac-Haydn Theatre has released the eighth episode of In The Meantime, a weekly webcast series hosted by Producing Artistic Director John Saunders, as part of the Mac-Haydn Online virtual programming initiative. The episode can be found at https://youtu.be/AzYCWBwCN98.
Episode 8 features Jamie Grayson, who has a 20-year history with the theatre and is remembered by audiences for his unforgettable performance as Man In Chair in the 2015 production of The Drowsy Chaperone. Outside of Mac-Haydn, Jamie is known across the country and on social media as “The Baby Guy”. He talks to host John Saunders about his time at the Mac-Haydn, how he started his career as a baby gear guru and what he is doing to raise the profile of Black-owned organizations in the baby gear business.
As a gesture of support to the Mac-Haydn artistic community, the Mac-Haydn offers a 50/50 split of any donations to the Bright Future Fund that mention each episode’s guest for the week following their interview. . Episodes of In The Meantime premiere on Fridays at 12pm on the Mac-Haydn Theatre YouTube channel. The series showcases notable Mac-Haydn alumni, discussing their artistic endeavors during quarantine as well as their past experiences working at the theatre. The Mac-Haydn Online programming initiative also includes “Mac-Haydn Mondays,” a weekly live stream from the theatre’s Instagram account (@machaydntheatre) on Mondays at 5pm.
