Hudson Hall Presents: ON LIGHTNESS: JUDAH CATALAN AND DIANE TOWNSEND and OFF THE WALL: MARGARET SALISKE, JEAN FEINBERG, AND PAMELA J. WALLACE

HUDSON — Hudson Hall invites viewers to leave their expectations behind and experience two exhibitions of Hudson Valley artists that challenge pre-conceived notions of space and perspective. In “Off the Wall,” on view in the Center Hall Gallery, Margaret Saliske, Jean Feinberg, and Pamela Wallace explore the notion of the gallery wall as both support element and active participant using various media, palettes, forms, and textures. Hudson-based artists Judah Catalan and Diane Townsend invite viewers to step into a visual kinetic experience with “On Lightness,” which hangs in the Common Council Room. The exhibitions will be on view from October 23 to December 5, 2021.

“Art and culture have always been both a respite from and a reflection of challenging times. With this exquisite showcase of Hudson Valley talent, we offer our community an opportunity to shake off the burden of the 24-hour news cycle and experience art in the present moment – and the sensations, thoughts, or expression it inspires,” says Tambra Dillon, Executive Director of Hudson Hall.

October 23 – December 5, 2021
