Opens on Friday, marking the return of live theater at AOH!

AN ILIAD by Lisa Peterson & Denis O’Hare based upon Homer’s THE ILIAD, translated by Robert Fagles

October 15 - 24; Thu, Fri, Sat at 7 p.m., Sun at 3 p.m.

AN ILIAD returns the ancient Greek epic to its oral tradition, and offers a layer of modern perspective to the form. The Poet, played by MaConnia Chesser, tells the story and plays all the parts. She guides us through the ferocious chaos of battle in a tale of honor, glory, and rage. With wry humor and pointed observation, she infuses Homer’s epic with a contemporary point-of-view.
