A Chorus Line Is Live on An Outdoor Stage

Up In One Productions will present the Broadway musical, A Chorus Line at The Center for

Performing Arts in Rhinebeck July 24 – August 16, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays at 7 PM.

The show will be presented on The Center’s new outdoor stage overlooking the grand lawn

where audience members may bring blankets, lawn chairs and, if they wish, a picnic basket,

while comfortably being able to socially distant.

With Music by Marvin Hamlisch, lyrics by Edward Kleban, and book by James Kirkwood, Jr. and

Nicholas Dante, the play centers around seventeen hopeful, Broadway dancers auditioning for a

few spots on a chorus line. As they individually introduce themselves to Zach, the

choreographer, they reluctantly reveal the early experiences in their lives that shaped their

decision to become dancers.

A Chorus Line won The Pulitzer Prize, 8 Tony Awards (including Best Musical), The Olivier

Award, The Drama Desk Award, and The Theatre World Award. Memorable songs include:

“One”, “I Hope I Get It”, Music And The Mirror”, and “What I Did for Love”.

The Up In One Production is directed and Choreographed by Kevin Archambault with Music

Direction by Matthew Woolever. It features Ryan Dutcher (Zach), Olivia Michaels (Cassie),

Thomas Netter, Jacob Anspach, Terrence Boyer, Jalen Carr, Maria Coppola, Riley Cornelison,

Lynne Czajka, Anthony DaSilva, Rena Gavigan, Cedric James, Ory Lopez, Amber McCarthy,

Tori McCarthy, Katelyn Shoemaker, Jordan Stroly, Nicole Tarcza, Emily Woolever, and a

powerful, dancing and singing ensemble..
