TROY — The Arts Center of the Capital Region is pleased to announce the installation of two new exhibitions at our galleries. “More Than a Sketchbook: The Diary of an Artist” will display in our Main Gallery and “Cocoon: The Reveal” will display in our Wallace & Foyer Galleries. Both exhibition opening receptions will be held on April 30, 2021 during Troy Night Out from 6-8 pm. COVID guidelines will be in place.

More Than a Sketchbook: The Diary of an Artist

April 30 – June 25, 2021

During the winter of 2020-21, the Arts Center distributed sketchbooks to artists to complete during the COVID-19 restrictions. Artists use sketchbooks in many different, yet distinctly personal, ways. Viewers are invited to look through the daily sketches as then the finished pieces presented on our gallery walls.

Cocoon – The Reveal

April 30 – June 25, 2021

In January 2020, the Arts Center offered studio spaces to five artists in our Main Gallery, but after just six weeks, COVID-19 emerged and the Arts Center, the gallery, and the studio project were closed. The artists had to move out, but the creation of artwork didn’t stop. Join us in welcoming the Cocoon Studio Artists back to reveal their work.

Please support your local artists and Arts Center. Works for sale support our community and regional artists as well as continued programming at the Arts Center of the Capital Region. Please visit our gallery or purchase artwork from our website, www.artscenteronline.org/exhibits.
