KINDERHOOK — Martin Van Buren National Historic Site will transition to winter operations beginning Nov. 1.

Park grounds remain open 7 a.m.-sunset daily. Pick up a brochure in the parking lot and follow the three-quarter mile wayside loop to learn more about Martin Van Buren’s postpresidency home.

Facilities, including historic Lindenwald and the park visitor center, will be closed. Ranger programs will not be offered during the winter season. Traditionally, Martin Van Buren National Historic Site increases operations for the spring in mid-April. Check back closer to that time for more information.

For more self-guided activities, see the Outdoor Activities section of our website. For information, call Martin Van Buren National Historic Site at 518-758-9689 or www.nps.gov/mava.
