Where the Wild Things Are Book Club to discuss ‘The Solace of Open Spaces’

CHATHAM – The COVID-19 pandemic may have made it difficult to meet in person, but that doesn’t mean we can’t come together over a good book! CLC’s Where the Wild Books Are book club will convene over Zoom in May for the final book club meeting before summer.

May’s book is The Solace of Open Spaces, by Gretel Ehrlich.

The meeting will take place 5:30-7 p.m. May 26 via Zoom. Check out clctrust.org/events for a link to join the Zoom meeting.

Please feel free to attend even if you haven’t read the entire book, and supply yourself with snacks and refreshments.

“This book is about the power of nature to heal, which resonates with lots of us right now,” says Hannah Schiller, CLC’s Education & Outreach Assistant.

“The Solace of Open Spaces is a collection of observations inspired by the author’s time in the American West, and is a really beautiful read.”

Participants can email info@clctrust.org to join the book club list-serve, or search for the “Where the Wild Books Are: A CLC Book Club” Facebook Group.

Discussion is ongoing on the Facebook Group, so feel free to join even if you aren’t able to make it to the meeting.
