CHATHAM — The COVID-19 pandemic may have made it difficult to meet in person, but that doesn’t mean we can’t come together over a good book! CLC’s Where the Wild Books Are book club will continue to convene over Zoom this fall and winter.

October’s book is The Soul of an Octopus by Sy Montgomery. The meeting will take place 5:30-6:30 p.m. Oct. 13 via Zoom. Check out clctrust.org/events for information about how to join the book club and participate in the Where the Wild Books Are list-serve. Feel free to attend even if you haven’t read the entire book, and supply yourself with snacks and refreshments.

“This book was an interesting exploration into what it means to be human, and what it means to be an animal,” says Heidi Bock, Conservation Education Manager. “I learned a great deal about how fascinating octopuses (yes, octopuses!) are, and really enjoyed following Sy’s relationships with these creatures.”

Participants can email info@clctrust.org to join the book club list-serve. Discussion is ongoing on the list-serve, so participants should join even if they aren’t able to attend every meeting.
