CHATHAM — The Columbia Land Conservancy is hosting volunteer work parties at Hand Hollow Conservation Area 9 a.m.-noon every Friday in August at Hand Hollow Conservation Area.
Volunteers should bring gloves that can get wet, a water bottle and a kayak or canoe if they own one. CLC will provide snacks and drinks. Participants will need to walk approximately 1/3 of a mile into the site on a dirt trail to access the boat launch, which is ADA-accessible. Note that Hand Hollow has two parking lots, and volunteers should park at the Gale Hill Road entrance, located at 451 Gale Hill Road.
Space is limited to ten participants, and pre-registration is required. Visit clctrust.org/events for more information.
