CHATHAM — The Columbia Land Conservancy is hosting a volunteer work party 9 a.m.-noon July 16 at Hand Hollow Conservation Area.

Volunteers should bring gloves that can get wet, a water bottle, and a kayak or canoe if they own one. CLC will provide snacks and drinks. Participants will need to walk approximately 1/3 of a mile into the site on a dirt trail to access the boat launch, which is ADA-accessible. Note that Hand Hollow has two parking lots, and volunteers should park at the Gale Hill Road entrance, located at 451 Gale Hill Road.

Space is limited, and pre-registration is required. Visit clctrust.org/events for information. To learn more about this and other projects, visit clctrust.org/projects.
