SPENCERTOWN — Austerlitz officials are asking Town residents and landowners to fill out a survey to help plan for the communities’ future. This survey is part of the Town’s effort to update their 2004 Comprehensive Plan.

The comprehensive planning process will provide a roadmap for future decisions and the survey will help ensure that the document addresses the needs of the residents. The plan update will be a blueprint to guide economic and physical growth, land use, recreation, infrastructure, and community development for the next 10 years. The survey explores a variety of topics and will provide information about the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats facing Austerlitz. The Comprehensive Plan update process is being coordinated by a committee appointed by the Town Board, with Board Member Greg Vogler serving as Chair.
