Senior Menu

CATSKILL — The following is the weekly nutrition menu offered by the Greene County Department of Human Services’ Senior Nutrition Program. Served daily with each meal are bread or alternative with Promise Spread; low fat milk, coffee or tea.

All persons 60 and older and their spouses are invited. The suggested donation for each meal is $4.

The menu will be the meal that is delivered to all Greene County home bound meal clients. Those wishing to receive lunch at a center are asked to call the respective location at least a day in advance.

WEDNESDAY: Stuffed shells with sausage, green beans, spinach, cheesecake swirl brownie.

THURSDAY: Roasted chicken with gravy, mashed potatoes, brussels sprouts, carrot cake.

FRIDAY: Baked salmon with dill sauce, California vegetable medley, brown rice, fresh fruit.

MONDAY: Broccoli cheddar quiche, hash browns, cauliflower, corn muffin, tropical fruit.

TUESDAY: Eggplant Parmesan, spinach, green beans, whole wheat spaghetti, pear cup.

WEDNESDAY: Beef stew, glazed carrots, brussels sprouts, peaches, whole wheat egg noodles, birthday cupcake.

Sept. 22 through Sept. 29

WEDNESDAY: Beef stew, glazed carrots, brussels sprouts, peaches, whole wheat egg noodles, birthday cupcake.

THURSDAY: Chicken divan, Parisian vegetable mix, spinach, white rice, chocolate chip pudding.

FRIDAY: Tuna salad plate with hardboiled egg, mixed greens, marinated carrots, fresh fruit.

MONDAY: Macaroni and cheese, 3 bean salad, stewed tomatoes, fruit cocktail.

TUESDAY: Lemon baked cod, spinach, carrot coins, brown rice, peaches.

WEDNESDAY: Roast beef with gravy, mashed potatoes, peas and carrots, pineapple delight.

Sept. 29 through Oct. 6

FRIDAY: Chicken and biscuits, mashed potatoes, green beans, apple spice cake.

TUESDAY: Salmon with dill sauce, mashed potatoes, cauliflower, brownie.

WEDNESDAY: Chicken parmesan, whole wheat spaghetti, spinach, green beans, tiramisu.

Oct. 6 through Oct. 13

THURSDAY: Pork chop with gravy, baked potato with sour cream, applesauce, butternut squash, fresh pear.

FRIDAY: Vegetable lasagna with white sauce, Italian mixed vegetables, fresh apple.

MONDAY: Closed.

WEDNESDAY: Hot turkey dinner with gravy, green beans, cranberry sauce, sweet potatoes, mandarin oranges.

Oct. 20 through Oct. 27
