Senior Centers opening

LIVINGSTON — The Livingston Senior Community Center and Stuyvesant Senior Community Center are now open with new COVID-19 guidelines. Both Hudson and Valatie Senior Community Centers will open soon. For information, call 518-828-4258.

Face Masks

HUDSON — If any senior, 60 and older, is in need of a face mask, they should contact the Columbia County Office for the Aging at 518-828-4258 to make arrangements for pick up or delivery. The office is open 8 a.m.-4 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Hotline For Elderly And Vulnerable

HUDSON — Columbia County Sheriff David Bartlett has established a hotline for the elderly and vulnerable in county, including those with medical conditions or are disabled, who would welcome a deputy checking on their well-being on a daily basis. The number for the hotline is 518-828-0601 ext. 1400.

Core Strength and Balance

HUDSON — The Hudson Area Library, in collaboration with the City of Hudson Senior Center, continues its popular Core Strength & Balance with Dr. Paul Spector. This 13-week series meets 1:30-2:30 p.m. on Saturdays, through Nov. 28. This class meets virtually on Zoom video conferencing services. A student already registered for summer Virtual Core Strength can simply use the current Zoom link. Any new registrants can email or call 518-828-1792 ext. 101.

Dance Classes

HUDSON — The Hudson Area Library and the City of Hudson Senior Center are happy to present Shall We Dance, a series of dance classes with Andrew Loren Resto. The program meets virtually via Zoom 11 a.m.-noon on Wednesdays and 5-6 p.m. through Nov. 6. Email programs@hudsonarealibrary or call 518-828-1792 ext. 101 to receive the Zoom link for either or both of the sessions.
