Ribbon cutting held at the Crellin Park Pavillion

Contributed photoA ribbon cutting marked the official opening of the large pavilion near the pond at Crellin Park, in Chatham on Oct. 31. The attendees for the pavilion event included current Town Board members, Donal Collins, Vance Pitkin, Abi Mesick, John Wapner and Kevin Weldon, and Recreation Committee representatives, Jay Thorn, Betsy Winters-Russel, Anita Fiorillo, Jesse Ortiz, Judi Mathews, Highway Superintendent Jeffery Antalek, Chatham Village Mayor, John Howe, as well as former Town Supervisor Maria Lull and former board member Michael Richardsons. Remarks by Supervisor Donal Collins and Board Member Kevin Weldon highlighted the planning and efforts by the Lull and DeGroodt administrations to arrive at the completed upgrade of the Crellin pavilion. The new Pavilion will be used for special events, Summer Camp, and will be available for private rental through the Recreation Director, Michael West.
