CHATHAM — The Chatham Public Library announces December Programs for everyone. The Chatham Public Library will open at noon Dec. 8 to allow for a staff training that morning. The Chatham Public Library will be closed Dec. 23 through Dec. 26 for the winter holiday break. The Canaan Library will be closed on Dec. 23.

Columbia County Libraries Local History Series on Zoom presents Lindenwald’s Amazing Historically Accurate Wallpaper at 6 p.m. Dec. 12. Lindenwald, Martin Van Buren’s historic home, is awash in amazing historically accurate wallpaper. Martin Van Buren National Historic Site Museum Specialist Mike Wasko will provide a look at how the park reproduced wallpaper using historical evidence, the reproduction of the wallpaper, and the result of the rooms being returned to original state. Cookbook Club - Potluck and Book Discussion 6 p.m. Dec. 12. This month the club will be taking on 100 Cookies: The Baking Book For Every Kitchen With Cookies, Novel Treats, Brownies, Bars, and More, by Sarah Kieffer. Ukulele Jam 10:30 a.m. Dec. 10, Dec. 17 and Dec. 31. All ages are welcome to the Ukulele Jams, led by Carmen Borgia. Ukes will be available, including several you can borrow to take home.

Navigators assist individuals, families, small businesses and small business employees in Columbia and Greene Counties with shopping for, comparing, and enrolling in quality affordable health insurance, including Medicaid and Child Health Plus, through New York State of Health: the Official Health Plan Marketplace.
