NEW LEBANON — Dua Sadiq of New Lebanon CSD and Bridget Hermann of Berlin CSD received honorable mentions at Questar III’s 31th Annual Juried High School Art Exhibit. The event, which was cancelled last year due to COVID-19, returned this year as an online event. The exhibit once again showcases exceptional student artwork from schools in Rensselaer, Columbia and Greene Counties.

Kyra Garrigue, assistant professor at Hudson Valley Community College, served as this year’s guest juror. Garrigue, who holds a MFA from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, combines her background in music

and photography to create audio-visual installations and has participated in multiple exhibitions, performances and festivals. The top winners of the competition were:

Rachel Genito, Taconic Hills CSD, first place, “Insomniac”

Noah Bonesteel, Averill Park CSD, second place, “The Pilgrimage”

A Anderson, Greenville CSD, third place, “Rebirth”

Honorable Mentions:

Hope Rheeman, Brunswick CSD “G.W.”; Bridget Hermann, Berlin CSD “Distorted Dad”; Dua Sadiq, New Lebanon CSD “Untitled.”
