SYRACUSE — The Great New York State Fair is pleased to welcome back a fan favorite act to its Chevrolet Music Series this summer. Herman’s Hermits starring Peter Noone will return to The Fair to play through their hits at Chevy Court at 1 p.m. on August 26.

Known for hits including “I’m Henry the VIII I Am,” “I’m Into Something Good,” and “Mrs. Brown You’ve Got a Lovely Daughter,” Peter Noone and Herman’s Hermits rose to fame in the early 1960s. Peter was just 15 years old when the legendary pop band started to climb the charts! Through the years, the group has amassed fourteen hit singles, seven gold albums, and sold more than 52 million recordings. The band still performs more than 200 concerts each year. Their appearance on Aug. 26 will be their 14th time playing at The Great New York State Fair.

The Fair starts Aug. 21 and runs through Labor Day, Sept. 2. Admission will go on sale later this summer.

The Fair’s Chevrolet Music Series will feature a total of 39 national recording acts, all included with the price of Fair admission. Chevy Court (located near Gate 1) will feature a 1 and 6 p.m. performance every day, and Suburban Park (located on the western end of the Fairgrounds, beyond the Midway) will feature an 8 p.m. concert every day.
