COXSACKIE — Coxsackie-Athens High School announces the Class of 2021 Valedictorian is Aidan Scarpinati and Salutatorian is Kye Williams.

As Coxsackie-Athens High School’s Valedictorian, Aidan Scarpinati is graduating with his Advanced Regents Diploma and a Mastery in Science. He has challenged himself in many accelerated, honors, college, Advanced Placement, and summer courses to earn an overall unweighted grade point average of 97.84%.

Aidan is a three-season athlete participating on the soccer, wrestling and track teams all throughout high school. He has been active in National Honor Society, Varsity Club, Hope Club, Outdoors Club, and Prom Committee.

He has worked at two local restaurants and in construction and has volunteered at Relay for Life and a local horse rescue farm.

Aidan will be attending Northeastern University in the fall and wants to enter the engineering field as a data analytics engineer.

Kye Williams is Coxsackie-Athens High School’s Salutatorian and is graduating with an Advanced Regents Diploma with Honors and a Mastery in Math and a Mastery in Science.

Kye has an overall unweighted grade point average of 97.75% and has taken numerous accelerated, honors, college, Advanced Placement, and summer courses. He has been recognized as a Student of the Year and a Rotary Student of the Month.

He played on our soccer team and has been an active member of National Honor Society, Interact Club, Outdoor Club, Hope Clue, and Prom Committee and has self-taught himself to play piano. Kye has worked for a local bus company and currently works at Shop’n Save.

His volunteer efforts have impacted cancer awareness, his school, and community. Kye is planning to study business or engineering at SUNY Plattsburgh in the fall.
