Outdoor Yard Sale

GHENT — The Ghent Reformed Church, 1039 County Route 22, West Ghent, will hold an outdoor yard sale 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Sept. 26 in place of the Church Fair. They will also serve “home” cooked food and baked goods. Everything will be pre-packaged and sold outside. There will be no food served in the building. We will be working diligently to maintain social distancing and trying to keep everyone healthy. Masks are mandatory. Inside, there will be books for sale, but only 2 people at a time may come into the building to view/purchase them.

Drive-Thru Luncheon

GHENT — The Ghent Reformed Church, 1039 County Route 22, West Ghent, will host a free Drive-Thru Luncheon noon-2 p.m. Oct. 3. We know that the same fellowship you have enjoyed in the past with the monthly dinners cannot be provided at this time, but we are looking forward to that time when we can be together again.

Sunday School

GHENT — Due to the current pandemic issues, the Ghent Reformed Church, 1039 County Route 22, West Ghent, has chosen to start its Sunday School program a little later this year. On Oct. 4, if we are allowed to by law, we will welcome our students back, without hugging or food, but with masks at 10:15 a.m. There is instruction available for children 3 through the 8th grade. Chicken Barbecue

KINDERHOOK — The Kinderhook Reformed Church, 21 Broad St., Kinderhook, will hold a Brooks barbecue 3-6:30 p.m. Sept. 23. Dinner includes half a chicken, potato, roll and cole slaw. Cost of the dinner is $12 and $8 for half a chicken. Preregistration is advised. For information and reservations, call 518-758-6401 or kinderhookreformedchurch.com. Curbside pickup only; use “The School” horseshoe driveway for pickup. All proceeds will go toward the operation and maintenance of the Kinderhook cemetery.

Lutheran Parish of Southern Columbia County

CHURCHTOWN — The Lutheran Parish of Southern Columbia County will meet at 9 a.m. outdoors at St. Thomas Church, Route 27, Churchtown and at 11 a.m. outdoors at St. John’s Church at Manorton, 923 County Route 19, Elizaville. Bring a lawn chair for seating.

Parish of Immaculate Conception/St. Joseph

NEW LEBANON — The Parish of Immaculate Conception/St. Joseph has restarted regular weekend Mass schedules in New Lebanon and Stephentown. At this time, Masses are being celebrated outdoors in a parking lot format, with persons staying in their cars which are spaced six feet apart. All are invited to attend.

On Saturdays, Mass is held at the Stephentown Post Office lot at 4 p.m. Sunday Mass is celebrated at Immaculate Conception Church parking lot in New Lebanon, at 8:30 a.m. For information, contact the parish office at 518-794-7651.

Ghent Reformed Church

GHENT — The Ghent Reformed Church, 1039 County Route 22, Ghent, is back to having a regular Sunday service. Service begins at 9 a.m. and the church is complying with the required safety requirements. Coffee hour after worship is missed, but it’s great to see our friends and neighbors again.

St. Paul’s Episcopal Church

KINDERHOOK — St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Kinderhook offers the following services: Sunday Morning prayer with sermon at 8 a.m. Weekday Morning Prayer at 9 a.m. Weekday Evening Prayer at 5 p.m.

Services are live streamed on Facebook at the stated times. North Chatham United Methodist Church

NORTH CHATHAM — Until such time as parishioners are able to gather in the sanctuary, the North Chatham United Methodist Church is worshiping via Zoom at 10 a.m. Sundays. The church is also hosting “Monday Meditations” at 7 p.m. every Monday. All are invited and the Zoom login information is on the website (northchathammethodistchurch.org).
