Cairo-Durham students selected for regional art exhibition

Contributed photoThe Cairo-Durham High School Art Department announces that Xxaria Makely, grade 12; Brianna Schermerhorn, grade 12; and James Mutinsky, 11 had work selected for the 22nd Annual High School Regional Juried Art Exhibition. Xxaria, Brianna and James are among 100 high school students who were chosen to participate in the annual art exhibition. Their works were selected from 350 entries submitted by 22 high schools around the Capital Region. Submissions were reviewed and chosen by a panel of art educators and artists including Jennie Tang, Jade Warwick and Matthew Weinheimer. The exhibit showcases a variety of student work and media such as painting, drawing, photography, film, digital media, and sculpture. The 22nd Annual High School Regional Juried Art Exhibition can be viewed in person during gallery hours March 25 through April 16 at the Albany Center Gallery, 488 Broadway -107, Albany. The Albany Center Gallery exhibits can also be toured virtually. Visit www.cairodurham.org for information.
