TANNERSVILLE — The Mountain Top Arboretum, 4 Maude Adams Road, Tannersville, hosts Bird ID Walk with Larry Federman 8-10 a.m. May 27. Members, free; non-members, $10 suggested donation. This is in-person, outdoor program, reservations not necessary. Federman is a former Audubon Society Education Coordinator and President of the local Audubon Chapter, Northern Catskills Audubon. He leads the annual guided tour through the Arboretum’s bird-rich habitats. Look for warblers, bluebirds and other migrating birds as they build their nests and start families or pass through to their northern nesting sites. This time of year offers one of the best opportunities to see beautiful North American birds. Bring binoculars, boots, attentive eyes and ears. Register inside the Education Center. PRATTSVILLE — The American Legion Virgil E. Deyo Post 1327 will sponsor the Memorial Day Parade in Prattsville on May 29. Assembling will begin at noon, with line up at 12:30 p.m. and step off at 1 p.m. The parade will end at the Prattsville Town Green with Memorial Day Ceremony to follow. All are encouraged to participate and/or be spectators to pay your respect to those who have given their all for our Country.

GREENVILLE — The Clematis Garden Club’s Annual Plant Sale will be held 9 a.m.-noon June 3 at the GNH parking lot, 11513 Route 32, Greenville, rain or shine.
Easy to grow perennials, annuals, herbs, shrubs, vegetables, potted plants and beautiful house plants at reasonable prices. White elephant items including crafts, garden items, antiques and collectibles also for sale. Come and ask questions of experienced gardeners and shop for bargains before sold out.

HAINES FALLS — The Mountain Top Historical Society will host a guided all-day hike beginning at 9:30 a.m. June 3 to Poet’s Ledge from Twilight Park. Led by Nick Lemann, this is a woods walk that crosses over streams and above the ravines that cascade into the Kaaterskill Clove, which leads to a beautiful view.
We will cross above Santa Cruz, Buttermilk, Wildcat and Viola Falls on a trail that leads to Poet’s Ledge, the well-known viewpoint looking west up the Clove. Come prepared for some wet or muddy conditions, rocky trails.
Bring plenty of water, snacks, lunch, bug spray. Sturdy shoes or hiking boots and long pants are highly recommended. Bring trekking poles if you have them. We reserve the right to ask hikers to drop out if they are not properly prepared for challenging conditions. Rating: moderately difficult due to length and terrain; minimal elevation gain. Length: 6 miles round trip. The hike will be canceled in case of rain. Limit: 20 hikers. Meet at the MTHS KRT parking lot for 9:30 sign-in and carpooling arrangements (parking at the trailhead in Twilight is limited).

SAUGERTIES — The Friends of the Saugerties Library Street Fair will be held 10 a.m.-3 p.m. June 3, rain or shine, behind the library, 91 Washington Ave., Saugerties. Plant, book and baked goods sales, along with a petting zoo, face painting, a magic show, music, arts and crafts, vendors and much more. Saugerties Police Department and Diaz Ambulance will be on hand offering free bicycle helmets. Vendors are invited to participate at a fee of $25 per table. DELMAR — Q.U.I.L.T. Inc. meets at 9:30 a.m. June 9 at the Delmar Reformed Church, 386 Delaware Ave., Delmar.
For the June meeting, a brief business meeting begins at 9:45 a.m. followed by a general meeting and potluck luncheon. We will have a Quilting 101 presentation and two challenges, Half Squares Are So Cool! and the 2nd Annual UFO Challenge. All are welcome. Q.U.I.L.T., Inc. is a not-for-profit guild of quilters interested in learning about the art of making quilts. Members live in the Capital Region and surrounding communities.

The program is for train enthusiasts of all ages and will include Gabriele’s working model train, book signings by local authors and an exhibit of railroad photos and memorabilia form the Mountain Top Historical Society archives. oin John Michelotti of Catskill Fungi for an entertaining and educational walk to explore the fungi in the Arboretum forests. Mushrooms open up a world of history, science and incredible facts to boggle the mind. We will bring samples back to the center to be categorized, identified, and uploaded to INaturalist to be part of the Fungal Diversity Survey of North America. We will discuss the mushrooms we discover: their historic uses, medicinal properties, ecological functions, edibility, and more.
Dress appropriately for the weather — we’ll be exploring rain or shine. Members, free; non-members, $10 suggested donation. This is an in-person program, meeting inside and outdoors.

COLONIE — Capital District Chevrolet Club Inc. 40th annual All Make and Model Antique Classic & Street Rod, Car and Truck Show 9 a.m.-3 p.m. June 25 at Cook Park, Lincoln Park, Colonie.
Registration 9 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Years 1900 through 2023 vehicles will be represented. Participant judging for top 30 vehicles, seven special and two Best of Show chosen by the club.
