ATHENS — St. Patrick’s Church Athens and Catskill is sponsoring a Frese’s meatball submarine sandwich sale 4-6 p.m. June 24 at St. Patrick’s, 24 North Washington St., Athens. EAST JEWETT — East Jewett United Methodist Church, 2252 Route 23C, East Jewett, will hold a huge rummage sale 1-6 p.m. June 24 and June 25; 9 a.m.-1 p.m. June 26. There will also be whole pies for sale.

HUDSON — The Hudson Area Library, in collaboration with OutHudson, presents Drag Queen Story Time with Katarina Mirage 5:30-7 p.m. June 25 at Henry Hudson Waterfront Park. Story time at 6 p.m. For this special evening story time and family picnic (BYOP), there will be a drag treasure chest with costumes for kids and complimentary cookies from Trixie’s Oven. Families are welcome to bring a blanket and food while they enjoy stories and a show from local drag artist, Katarina Mirage. Drag Queen Story Time is a family-friendly and inclusive event, striving to celebrate differences and break down barriers.

TANNERSVILLE — Mountain Top Arboretum, 4 Maude Adams Road, Tannersville, hosts Story Walk in the Woodland June 26 through July 3. Visit Mountain Top Arboretum for a Story Walk. Journey through the Woodland Walk and read the pages of a story. Supplies for a related craft will be available. This program is part of the Story Time in the Shade series, a collaboration between Mountain Top Arboretum and Mountain Top Library. We would love your help with greeting visitors or gardening. ALBANY — The Capital District Genealogical Society will meet at 1 p.m. June 26 via Zoom. CDGS meetings are presently held on Zoom. Registration is free and will open to the public on June 16. See www.capitaldistrictgenealogicalsociety .org under meetings and events. There is a 100 person limit. The topic introduction to Forensic Genealogy by Kelvin L. Meyers. the speaker will give an overview of forensic genealogy and the role of the genealogist in such cases. He will discuss some of the types of cases in which a forensic genealogist may be involved such as guardianship, oil and gas, unidentified and unclaimed persons and probate. The role of a forensic genealogist will also be discussed.

COXSACKIE — The Village of Coxsackie will hold Music in the Park 6-8 p.m. June 27 at Riverside Park, Betke Boulevard, Coxsackie. The Lustre Kings with Mark Gamsjager will be performing. Admission is free. Bring a blanket or lawn chair for seating.

July 3

WINDHAM — The Christmas in July “Walk & Toy Drive” will be held 8 a.m.-3 p.m. July 3 at The Windham Path, 4939 Route 23, Windham. Walk donation is adults, $10; children 12 and younger, $5; children under 2, free. Donation also includes an unwrapped toy(s) for Teens or Tots. There will be raffles and a 50/50. Funds raised support the Windham Rotary Foundation and toy donations will benefit the “Here Comes Christmas” program of Greene County Community Action. TANNERSVILLE — Make a Fairy Door with Mountain Top Arboretum, 4 Maude Adams Road, Tannersville. The webinar will be held 10-11 a.m. July 3 and is free. Bring whimsy and charm to your garden. Break out the craft supplies and join us for virtual fairy time. We’ll get creative and build our own clay fairy doors. We would love your help with greeting visitors or gardening. COXSACKIE — The Village of Coxsackie will host a Fireworks Event at approximately 9:15 p.m. July 3 at the Coxsackie-Athens High School, 24 Sunset Blvd., Coxsackie.

EAST DURHAM — The Durham Task Force, a not for profit organization, will hold a Fourth of July Parade at 11 a.m. July 3. Following the parade there will be ice cream, hot dogs, soda and a “Bounce Around“ for the kids at the Festival Grounds in East Durham. There will also be Fireworks at dusk at approximately 9 p.m.

July 4

COXSACKIE — The Village of Coxsackie will hold Music in the Park 6-8 p.m. July 4 at Riverside Park, Betke Boulevard, Coxsackie. Dusk til Dawn will be performing. Admission is free. Bring a blanket or lawn chair for seating.

July 10

WINDHAM — The Town of Windham Historical Society will sponsor Prelude to Pearl Harbor presented by Ron Gabriele at 7 p.m. July 10 at VFW Post 1545, 5565 Route 23, Windham. Seating at 6:30 p.m. The event is free however donations are welcome. Refreshments will be served.

July 11

ROUND TOP — The 17th annual Golf Tournament to benefit the Round Top Volunteer Fire Company will be held July 11 at Blackhead Mountain Lodge & Country Club, 67 Crow S Nest Road, Round Top. Registration noon-12:45 p.m. with tee off at 1 p.m. Shotgun start, four person scramble. The cost is $85 for golf and dinner; $25 dinner only. Included beer, soda, hot dogs during play; also greens fees, cart, buffet dinner, salad, carving board, dessert, tea and coffee. Aug. 15

WINDHAM — The 9th annual Cancer Patient Aid Car Show will be held, rain or shine, 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Aug. 15 on the grounds of the Chicken Run, corner of State Route 23 and South Street in Windham. Registration begins at 9 a.m. and runs until 11 a.m. Open to all years, makes and models. Trophies will be awarded at 2 p.m. to the top 20 vehicles, 10 of Specialty category, Rick Mundelein memorial trophy and Best in Show Classic. Best in Show will receive $500 from the Chicken Run. There will be music, door prizes and an “Enhanced 50/50” with some remarkable multiple prize drawings. Minimum donation of $10 per entrant. Funds raised support cancer patients (men, women & children) in Greene County through the Greene County Women’s League Cancer Patient Aid. Remember your mask for social distancing.
