CATSKILL – Bank Of Greene County Charitable Foundation announced it will immediately provide $250,000 in cash grants to support local non-profit organizations affected by the covid-19 outbreak. Donald Gibson, President & CEO of the Bank of Greene County Charitable Foundation said, “The impacts of the COVID-19 outbreak on our community are far reaching and continuing to develop. Local non-profit organizations often rely on public events such as Galas, Auctions, Dinners, and many other fundraising events… many of which have been either postponed or cancelled.

“In response, we are awarding $250,000 in grants to local non-profit organizations to help support their short and long term viability through this crisis. Funds will be released as early as next week to the local non-profits who had previously applied to the Foundation. Our goal is to have the entire $250,000 disbursed by the end of April.”

Local non-profits receiving grants previously applied to the Charitable Foundation, and include food pantries, hospitals, rescue squads, fire companies, etc. A complete list of local organizations receiving grants, including past recipients, is available at www.tbogc.com.
