Monday Night Book Club on Zoom 7 p.m. Sept. 13 This is Happiness by Niall Williams. Email the library at firstname.lastname@example.org if you’re interested in joining this monthly Zoom meet up. Copies of each month’s title are available to checkout from the library’s circulation desk one month ahead of each meeting.
Mah Jongg Club 10 a.m.-noon Mondays and 2-4 p.m. Wednesdays Aug. 4, 9, 11, 16, 18, 23, 25 and 30. Join the Mah Jongg renaissance! Fully-vaccinated players are welcome to meet upstairs at the library every Monday and Wednesday. Masks are required inside the library building. Intro to Mah Jongg at 6 p.m. Aug. 4. This introductory program will cover in detail the game from beginning to end, including tile identification, how to read a mah jongg card, and much more. Ukulele Jam at 10:30 a.m. Aug. 7, 14, 21 and 28. All ages are welcome to the Ukulele Jams, led by Carmen Borgia. Ukes will be available, including several you can borrow to take home.
Health Care Navigator 1-4 p.m. Aug. 12. Navigators assist individuals, families, small businesses and small business employees in Columbia and Greene Counties with shopping for, comparing, and enrolling in quality affordable health insurance, including Medicaid and Child Health Plus, through the New York State of Health: the Official Health Plan Marketplace. Seed Collection Workshops with the Columbia Land Conservancy. Join the Columbia Land Conservancy and the Chatham Public Library for a three-part workshop on seed collection! Learn plant identification basics and how to start out with ecologically safe and effective seed collection techniques. Space is limited.
