Woodstock Summerstage: Summer Drama Camp for 5-16

WOODSTOCK — WOODSTOCK FESTIVAL OF SONG cocreators Kerry Henderson and Bex Roper Caldbeck 15-year residents of Woodstock, in collaboration with St. Louis based EDIE’S FAIRYTALE THEATRE offer an exciting summer opportunity for children and teens, a week-long drama camp June 24-28 at the Byrdcliffe Barn presenting an original adaptation of Peter Pan with a final Friday show on June 28.

Drama Studio London graduates and long-time friends Bex Roper-Caldbeck, Edie Avioli and Scott Sears, reunite to create an original production J M Barrie’s classic story; Peter Pan with their children’s theatre, Edie’s Fairytale Theatre (EFT) – a fun-filled, family run company delighting young audiences for over 25 years. The creative team of family members include: Musical NYC Composer, Christopher Sears, NYC Vocalist and Choreographer, Sienna Sears, Arts & Crafts with Sophia Sears and Technical Support from Charles Sears. The team will work with Woodstock youth to create a show in a week.

The Summer Camp entitled WOODSTOCK SUMMERSTAGE will take place at the historic Byrdcliffe Barn, 485 Upper Byrdcliffe Road running Monday, June 24th through Friday, June 28th from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM (with after-care available until 6pm). Campers 5-16 years of age will enjoy games, song writing, arts and crafts, dancing and play practice as they create a musically enchanting staged performance on Friday for friends, family and school groups. Camp Show Tickets are $5.

Parents can sign up their children for Woodstock Summer Stage online at Cost of the camp is $425 for the week, aftercare is an additional $75. The Concert on Friday evening “Christopher Sears and the Neverland Band” takes the stage. NYC musical artists and EFT company members, Christopher and Sienna Sears will perform with campers highlighted numbers from the Peter Pan show followed by songs from Christopher Sears debut album, Bread Boy.
