Winners crowned in inaugural Columbia-Greene Amateur Championship

The inaugural Columbia-Greene Amateur Championship was held at Catskill Golf Club and Copake Country Club over the weekend.

George Baker won 1st Flight with a net score of 163. Kevin LeClair won 2nd Flight with a 150.

In the senior division, Bernard Lonczak won the 1st Flight with a 162 net score. Jonathan Kozel took the 2nd Flight with a 154.

Charlene Supina was the Ladies Champion. Robert Sheldon was the Max Flight champ.


The 7th annual Breast Cancer Fundraiser to spread awareness at the New York Golf Park in Hudson will take place on Saturday from 1-4 p.m.

All of the proceeds for this event will be donated to local patients at the Cancer Treatment Center in Hudson.

The beneficiaries this year are Rebecca Linscott of Catskill and Behida Dolic of Hudson.

“We have so many hydrangeas in our miniature golf course that we would like to exchange flowers for donations,” owner Lucas Cohen said.

Ginsberg’s Foods will be supplying all of the food and beverages for the event will provided by Chatham Brewing and Coca-Cola. All guests will have unlimited open access to all amenities: Mini Golf, Driving Range, PGA Instruction food and beverage.

The cost to attend is $20 and kids under 12 play and eat free.
