William J. “BJ” Wrigley, Jr.

William J. “BJ” Wrigley, Jr. 67, of Stuyvesant Falls, died Wednesday February 20, 2019 surrounded by his family at St. Peter’s Hospital in Albany. Born September 4,1951 in Hudson, NY he was the son of the late William J. and Joan M. (Ganley) Wrigley. BJ was a 1970 Graduate of Hudson High School, he was a Driver for Risedorph Distributing in Kinderhook for many years. He was also a Chef throughout the years and worked for the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office, Ichabod Crane Central Schools and later Brookwood Secure Center in Claverack. During his life of retirement he enjoyed driving for the Health Care Consortium. He was a member of the Hudson B.P.O.E. #787, life-member of the Federation of Polish Sportsmen and the Stuyvesant Falls V.F.W.

He will be greatly missed by his son Timothy John Wrigley of Stuyvesant, 2 brothers: Peter Wrigley and (Cherri Hirsch) of Hudson, Paul Wrigley of Chatham, 2 sisters: Christine and (Michael) Kachuba of Claverack, Barbara and (James) Grott of Valatie as well as nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by one son Hudson City PO William Beckett “Billy” Wrigley and one brother James Ganley Wrigley.

Calling hours will be Sunday February 24 from 3:00-6:00PM at the Sacco-McDonald-Valenti Funeral Home 700 Town Hall Drive Hudson. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated Monday Feb. 25, 10:00AM at Holy Trinity Parish 429 E. Allen St. Hudson with Fr. Winston Bath officiating. Burial will be in Cedar Park Cemetery.
