POUGHKEEPSIE, NY – On Friday, May 11 at 7 p.m., Vassar College Majors presents the final concert of its Spring performance season: a program of unaccompanied choral works by Victoria, Purcell, Stroope, and others. Founded by Nicholas Ruggeri ‘18, Majors is the largest choral ensemble on Vassar’s campus and performs regularly throughout the Hudson Valley. Majors is also a nationally-touring ensemble, most recently performing at the Basilica of the National Shrine in Washington, D.C. The ensemble performs a diverse repertoire that ranges from Renaissance polyphony and 19th-century sacred music to American spirituals and contemporary multicultural works and has been praised for their “polished, mature sound and commitment to a high level of artistry.”

A good-will offering will be taken at the door. The concert will be held at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 55 Wilbur Blvd, Poughkeepsie.
